James A. Chorba

President & Founder

James Chorba is the President and founder of JACCO Specialty Services, Inc. Founded in 1997, Mr. Chorba provides construction consulting services to a wide variety of construction managers, attorneys, contractors, engineers and architects. He specializes in construction estimating (designed and conceptual), energy audits, mechanical systems inspections and evaluations, project management, project management training, construction claims, expert testimony, CPM scheduling and contract administration.

Mr. Chorba was employed by Scalise Industries, Inc. for 25 years. Scalise Industries is a mechanical contractor in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. During that time Mr. Chorba held the positions of vice president, piping department manager, project manager and project superintendent. Mr. Chorba's responsibilities included Annual Corporate Business Planning, Union Negotiations with Sheet Metal Local 12 and Steamfitters Local 449 and 354, Management and Training of the Estimating Department, Set-up and Operations of a Pipe Fabrication Shop, Management and Training of the Project Management Team, Claims Preparation, Negotiation and Resolution, CPM Scheduling and Project Management.

Mr. Chorba graduated from Gateway Technical Institutes R.H.V.A.C. Technologies Program. In addition Mr. Chorba attended a University of Pittsburgh, Mechanical Engineering evening program and a Penn State University Business and Humanities program each of which consisted of a two-year duration. He is also a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Engineers) and AEE (Associated Energy Engineers) and has a City of Pittsburgh HVAC license (2009-2010)
